Spells Writing Lab is open for drop-in tutoring Monday through Thursday from 3:00–5:30 p.m. During these hours, volunteer tutors are available to help students ages 7–13 with their homework, regardless of subject.

Tutoring sessions may also include free reading time, educational games, outdoor play, a healthy snack, and opportunities to write for student publications. We offer free writing workshops immediately following our tutoring program for interested students.

Though students do not need to sign up for individual tutoring sessions, we do request that students commit to attending at least two sessions per week. A parent or guardian will also need to fill out our full registration form and provide a copy of the child’s most recent report card so we can track each student’s progress throughout the year.
