This summer, we are delighted to announce that we will be offering FOUR weeks of in-person writing camp for ages 7–12, as well as ONE week of camp for ages 10–15.

FOUR camp weeks for ages 7–12: 

July 10–14: The Magic of Mythical Creatures
Do you love stories about unicorns, dragons, or other legendary beings? During this brand-new camp week, learn the basics of fantasy storytelling focused on fantastical beasts, from fine-tuning the rules of their magical worlds to plotting an exciting adventure for your fabled beings.

July 17–21: Kids v. Food
Are you a foodie? During this week of culinary creativity, we’ll write odes to our favorite foods, test out some new-to-us flavors, and get an introduction to food journalism, from restaurant reviews to short documentary films.

July 24–28: Lost in Space
Get ready for an inter-galactic journey to discover strange new worlds and alien lifeforms! As we explore every corner of the universe, we’ll work on learning the basics of science-fiction storytelling, craft convincing alien civilizations, and even produce short sci-fi films!

July 31–August 4: The Science of Superheroes
Superhero powers may seem out of this world, but they are often inspired by real-life science! We’ll test out the science behind your favorite super-powered characters, then create science-inspired superheroes of our own and document their heroics in comic book panels.


ONE camp week for ages 10–15:

August 7–11: Graphic Novel Memoirs
What makes you YOU? Learn how to share your story in an engaging and entertaining way by using a combination of words and images to focus on your feelings about a particular moment, event, or tradition from your life.

Registration Fee

REGISTRATION FEE: $25 per student for the summer, even if registering for multiple camp programs

Registration requires a fee of $25 per student, which is refundable upon request subject to the terms and conditions listed below.

To register multiple children for our camp, simply fill out one order form and “purchase” as many spots and deposits as you need. Please be sure to indicate the names and ages of each child you are registering in the appropriate box, and which camp weeks each one will be attending.

Your registration is only valid if you pay the refundable deposit electronically at the top of the registration form. Registrations may be adjusted/canceled if we do not receive your deposit in a timely manner or your child is not within the age range of the requested camp week.

REFUND POLICY:

One registration fee of $25 (refundable upon request) plus a small processing fee is required for each camp registrant, whether registering for one week or multiple weeks. (In other words, separate deposits are NOT required for multiple camp weeks. However, multiple deposits are required for multiple children.)

WE CANNOT CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED THE DEPOSIT. Upon request, within ONE week of your child’s last day of camp, your deposit can be returned to you after your child has attended the camp week(s) for which they are registered; many families elect to donate their deposit to help fund the camp.

Should the registrant miss a confirmed in-person program (except in case of illness), fail to log in for a confirmed virtual program, cancel the registration less than one week prior to the scheduled start date, or fail to request the refund within one week of the child’s last registered day of camp, we will process your deposit into our general operating fund. Once the deposit has been forfeited, all future confirmed registrations will be void and another deposit will be required to re-register for additional weeks of camp, pending availability.
