Elizabeth Gilbert Muses on Genius

Spells Advisory Board member Elizabeth Gilbert shares her loveliness as she muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses — and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person “being” a genius, all of us “have” a genius. It’s a funny, personal and surprisingly moving talk.

I suggest watching it over and over, again and again — at times when you feel your “divine, cockeyed genius” has left the room and when the sound of Olé, Olé still rings in your ears.

I love this talk and have passed it on to writer friends. She is funny and inspiring and now when I hear Ole I will think of her and get back to my desk to write again!

Hi Kathleen, thanks for visiting! So much good stuff in this talk and much of it has kept me going through many a wandering thought and frustrated morning (or 2 or 3) of writing.
